Holiday house Casa Brocal stands just above the village of Puntagorda, on the sunny west side of the island La Palma. This free standing house stands on a large plot, it has a private entrance and the house offers you privacy and peace and quiet. Casa Brocal has a balcony and spacious sunny terraces.
From the parking place to the house is 14 steps.
The lower part of the house is unused. There are no direct neighbours and no passers-by.
Casa Brocal is a non-smoking house suitable for 1 or 2 adults + a baby up to 2 years.


From Casa Brocal you have stunning views over the village Puntagorda, the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains above you. The village Puntagorda with shops and restaurants and the busstop are within walking distance.

Accommodation
Casa Brocal has a spacious and light living room with open kitchen. There is a sofa and chairs, a dining table, SAT-TV/radio and radio/cassette player. Any cool winter nights will be romantic by the fire. The door opens onto the balcony.

In the kitchen you will find a large refrigerator, ceramic stove (2 hobs), coffee machine, toaster and a fruit juicer.
There is a good selection of kitchen utensils.

In the bedroom with sea view are 2 single beds (190x90) with good mattresses and a wardrobe.
the bathroom has a shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside
		The terrace is sunny, sheltered and offers total privacy. There is a table and chair and sunbeds.

Casa Brocal is surrounded by almond trees, a fairytail in the almond flower season.

Area

Puntagorda is one of the most beautiful areas of La Palma. It is in the rural north-west of the island with 2100 inhabitants and is about 1.5 hours drive from the airport.
Puntagorda village has various shops, 2 supermarkets, butcher, a dispensing chemist, doctor, dentist, banks with cash dispensers, a post office, restaurants, typical local bars, library, Lnternet cafes and a public swimming pool (summer). On Saturdays and Sundays there is a market in the Mercadillo selling fresh local farm produce including local wine, cheese, cigars, cakes and fresh fruit and vegetables.
The area around Puntagorda is a must for nature lovers. There are many and varied marked walking paths, view points, some old windmills and El Fayal, a beautiful pine forest with barbecue and picnic area and childrens playground. The area above the village is covered in pine forests, the lower areas towards the cliffs are covered with shrubs and cactus.
There is access to the sea at El Puerto with a tiny pool and rocks but no beach. In the summer months you can swim in the ocean. It is worth a visit if only for the views along the cliffs and the coast.
Puntagorda is ideally situated for trips to the north of La Palma and the highest point of the island Roque de Los Muchachos. There are walking paths along to Tijarafe, Las Tricias, Garafia, and El Tablado. A taxi will drop you at the Roque de Los Muchachos so that you can walk down to Puntagorda.
In January to March the hillsides of Puntagorda are covered in flowering almond trees. Every year, at the end of January or beginning of February, Puntagorda celebrates the Festival of the Flowering Almond.
Puntagorda is ±45 minutes drive to the town of Los Llanos with the famous Plaza de España and the beautiful streets and houses and shops. The sandy beach at Tazacorte is a ±35 minutes drive.
